We bring together historical weather information, location suitability studies, site owners, funding, planning, finance, installers and the ongoing services required to create successful renewable projects.
Specialising in small to medium installations (1kW - 50kW) we connect site owners with investors to make the projects possible, and handle the processes required to recover incentives such as ROCs and Clean Energy Cash Back.
The criteria for a technology to be considered for inclusion with RenSMART services is that it:
- Reduces green house gas emissions
This can be by either generation of energy or savings in energy use. - The reduction in emissions can be monetised and the revenue paid to investors.
Our revenue comes from a small percentage of sales and transfers made through the market place.

Nicholas has over 15 years experience in the IT industry. Having started his career with IBM developing factory control and monitoring systems, he moved on to work on leading internet applications for the finance industry, retail and government as a freelance consultant and developer.

Rafe Staples (Director)

Rafe is a Chartered Surveyor and has been in private practice for more than 15 years. He is a Partner at Chartered Surveyors Powis Hughes & Associates  based near Newbury and advises a number of specialist clients including Data Centre Operators, Co-Lo operators, The Crown Estate and several Government Agencies and Departments. Rafe is actively pursuing planning for a small wind turbine at his offices in the Berkshire Downs.

Jules is a retail professional with extensive experience both as an operator on the high street and more recently as landlord in the challenging environment of the UK’s busiest airports. She specialises in building operational excellence and developing concession partnerships.
Jules was a graduate in 'Energy Studies' from Coventry University in the mid 90’s and has reignited her passion for renewable technology..
